Makassar — The International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University (UIN) Makassar received a benchmarking visit from the International Office of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Manado on Monday, April 27, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen internationalization management and cross-cultural Islamic education within PTKIN.
The delegation, led by Alimuddin Rivai, M.Hum., and accompanied by Dr. Arhanuddin Salim, M.Pd.I., was welcomed by the Head of the International Office of UIN Alauddin Makassar, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., at the Rectorate Building.
From the International Office’s perspective, the visit functioned as a platform for exchanging best practices, particularly in managing international students, funding schemes, and institutional support for international programs.
Dr. Serliah Nur emphasized the importance of collaboration among PTKIN institutions to advance campus internationalization. Meanwhile, Alimuddin Rivai noted that the visit aimed to strengthen IAIN Manado’s capacity, as its International Office has been operating since 2024 and currently manages five international students.
The session also included interviews with two Sudanese students, Muzamil Sulaiman Abdelhamid Mohammed and Nassir Mubarak Mohammed Ibrahim, who shared positive adaptation experiences in both academic and social contexts at UIN Alauddin Makassar.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to enhancing collaboration and strengthening international programs across institutions.
