Makassar, November 1, 2024 — UIN Alauddin Makassar began its 59th anniversary celebration with the opening of PORSENI, a week-long event full of sports and arts competitions to bring the university community closer. The opening parade included all faculties and campus institutions, each showing their pride and creativity.

For the first time, the International Office joined the parade as a participant, marching with international students to represent UIN Alauddin’s global spirit. They stood out with their enthusiastic chant: “One World, One Team, We are here to learn and dream!”—a message of unity between local and international students. Their lively performance earned them 3rd place in the parade, with the Rector, Prof. Hamdan Juhannis, presenting the award.

The Rector praised the International Office for adding an international touch to the event, showing how UIN Alauddin is becoming a more diverse and connected university. This year’s PORSENI opening celebrated both the university’s achievements and its commitment to bringing together students from all backgrounds to learn and grow together.
