Makassar, October 03, 2025 – The International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar welcomed a visit from Mustafa Waeduereh Lc., M.H., Ph.D., Deputy Head of the Perguruan Tinggi Islam Darul Maarif (Petidam) Thailand. The visit aimed to strengthen academic cooperation while fostering friendship between the two institutions.
The event was opened by the Head of the International Office Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., and was attended by the Cooperation Coordinator Ismi Sabariah S.A.B., M.Adm., SDA., as well as seven international students from Thailand. Among them, two—Aisoh and Ilham—are international students at Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar, four are students from Muhammadiyah University of Makassar—Aripheen, Suwaibah, Syahidah, and Patimoh—and one student, Afham, is from Islamic State University of Palopo.
The Head of the International Office, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., gave a warm welcomed:
“Thank you for taking the time to visit UIN Alauddin Makassar. This visit is highly meaningful as it strengthens our relationship, fosters mutual understanding, and opens opportunities for future collaboration,” she said.
Mustafa Waeduereh Lc., M.H., Ph.D., expressed his happiness:
“saya rasa penat, namun puas karena melihat wajah2 mahasiswa asing. kunjungan kali ini, tidak ada agenda khusus, hanya silaturahmi saja (mahabbah)” he said.
This visit marks an important moment in strengthening the partnership between Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar and Petidam Thailand.
