Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar has partnered with the Nusantara Foundation. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at the FEBI Auditorium, Campus II, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

The MoU was signed by the Rector of UIN Alauddin Makassar, Prof. Hamdan Juhannis, and the President of the Nusantara Foundation, Imam Syamsi Ali. This agreement aims to contribute to strengthening interfaith dialogue on an international scale through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: Education, Research, and Community Service.

In his speech, Prof. Hamdan Juhannis emphasized the importance of this collaboration in expanding UIN Alauddin’s network globally. “This p

artnership not only opens opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate with international institutions but also enhances academic capacity and Islamic outreach in the era of globalization,” he stated.

In addition to the MoU signing, the event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Nusantara Foundation and several faculties at UIN Alauddin, including the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, and the Postgraduate Program.

The MoA is expected to serve as a foundation for concrete cooperation in the fields of research, education, and community service. Imam Shamsi Ali, who is also a well-known Islamic outreach figure in the United States, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We hope this partnership will bring great benefits to both parties, especially in developing a more inclusive understanding of Islam and strengthening the role of da’wah on the international stage,” he explained.
