October 15, 2024 – Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., Head of the International Office, conducted socialization for the mecanism and administration of international student recruitment at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Educational Science, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The event was attended by the Dean, along with Vice Deans 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Head of Department, Secretary, Head of Administration, and Treasurer of the faculty.

Held in the senate meeting room, the session covered the registration process and procedures for international students at UIN Alauddin Makassar. Currently, there are about twenty international students enrolled. Dr. Serliah Nur also outlined the scope of work of the International Office, highlighting the importance of support for these students.

The socialization aims for each study program to host at least one foreign student, enriching the faculty’s perspectives and learning experiences. The Dean expected that The IO presentation could give more insight on how the faculty manage any effort of recruiting the international students.  Furthermore, the presence of international students is also expected to assist the faculty in achieving international accreditation.
