Makassar, September 27, 2024 – A group of international students from Thailand attended an orientation program at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar today. The program, led by Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., Head of the International Office , provided essential information on adapting to academic life and studying in Indonesia.The orientation session took place in the Rectorate Building at UIN Alauddin. The event aimed to welcome the new international students in a formal yet engaging manner, ensuring they feel supported during their academic journey.
The program included an introduction to the university’s academic system, campus regulations, and local cultural values. This orientation is designed to facilitate the students’ transition into their new environment, helping them understand the academic expectations and resources available to them.
One of the Thai students Miss Saadah expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to study at UIN Alauddin through a scholarship, saying, “The orientation program helped us gain deeper information about scholarships and the campus. We are grateful for the opportunity to receive this scholarship, and we are committed to making the most of it by studying hard and using the scholarship to the best of our abilities, inshaAllah.”Â
