UIN Alauddin Makassar has strengthened its international collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) in Brunei Darussalam on August 24, 2024. Representing UIN Alauddin Makassar at the signing were Dr. H. Andi Aderus, Lc., M.A., Vice Rector II for Administration and Financial Planning, and Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Amri, Lc., M.Ag., Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and Institutional Development.

The MoU aims to expand academic cooperation between the two institutions, including student exchanges, joint research, and other collaborative initiatives. This partnership is expected to enhance the educational experience for both students and faculty, providing new opportunities for learning and cultural exchange between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.

   

In addition to the MoU with UNISSA, UIN Alauddin Makassar is also engaging with Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) in Brunei. The involvement includes various academic activities, such as lectures and scholarly discussions. UIN Alauddin’s presence at KUPU SB demonstrates its commitment to expanding its international network and sharing Indonesian academic perspectives on the global stage.

These partnerships reflect UIN Alauddin Makassar’s continuous efforts to build strong relationships with higher education institutions abroad, enrich learning experiences for its students, and broaden academic horizons for its faculty through cross-border collaborations. This aligns with UIN Alauddin Makassar’s vision to become a leading and globally competitive university.
