Makassar, January 8, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) held a strategic meeting to discuss the Potential for International Student Admissions. Taking place in the FEBI Meeting Room at 1:30 PM WITA, the event was attended by the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Administrative Affairs, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Heads and Secretaries of Course Management Teams (KPM), as well as the International Office.
Dr. Amiruddin, K.M.E.I., the Dean of FEBI, expressed high hopes for the outcomes of the meeting. “We hope this meeting will provide the best solutions to meet our accreditation documentation requirements so that FEBI remains excellent. Once excellent, always excellent,” he emphasized.
A comprehensive presentation on the mechanism of international student admissions delivered by The Head of the International Office, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed. She elaborated on administrative requirements, the selection process, and the admission workflow. Dr. Serliah also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the faculty and the International Office to ensure smooth implementation. “We hope for support from the faculty to ensure the international student admission process runs seamlessly as envisioned,” she stated.
The meeting underscored FEBI’s commitment to maintaining its excellent accreditation status while supporting the university’s vision of becoming a world-class university. All participants agreed that the strategies presented would serve as concrete steps to enhance the institution’s competitiveness and accreditation.
The event concluded with the drafting of recommendations to be followed up, ensuring the steps for international student admissions are effectively implemented within FEBI.
