Makassar, Friday, November 29, 2024—Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar received a visit from the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI) delegations.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Vice Rector IV of UIN Alauddin Makassar, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Amri, Lc., M.Ag., along with the Head of the Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Collaboration Bureau, Dr. H. Kaswad Sartono, M.Ag. The meeting took place in the Rector’s Meeting Room at UIN Alauddin. This meeting, which discussed collaboration between institutions, was also attended by The Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Hasyim Haddade, M.Ag, Head of the International Office, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed, and the Head of the Collaboration Division, Ismi Sabariah S.A.B, M.Adm.SDA. UIN Alauddin Makassar. In opening remarks, UIN Alauddin reiterated its commitment to expanding international collaboration networks to support academic and research advancements.

The DLI delegation consisted of three important figures from Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI): Prof. Greg Barton, Rector Designate, Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI), John Bolton, Executive Director, International Branch Campuses, Deakin University, Australia, Citta Sellepan, Advisor, Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI). Prof. Greg expressed his hope to continue collaboration programs with UIN Alauddin Makassar. “I hope to return to UIN Alauddin Makassar next year and start collaboration programs,” he stated.

During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in the fields of education, research collaboration, and hopes that in the future, Students and also Islamic Boarding School Students will have access to quality education at international institutions.

Through this meeting, UIN Alauddin Makassar demonstrated its commitment to continuously develop global partnerships, aiming to bring significant progress in the field of education.
