Depok, October 29–30, 2025 — Head of the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., along with the Cooperation Coordinator Ismi Sabariah S.A.B., M.Adm., SDA., and cooperation staff Fadhil S.H., participated in the Workshop on the Internationalization within Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI): Policies, Strategies, and Collaboration, held at the Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) campus in Depok, West Java, from 29 to 30 October 2025.
This two-day workshop was organized by the UIII International Office and supported by Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (DIKTIS), Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The workshop aimed to strengthen institutional capacity and collaboration among Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) in developing policies, strategies, and best practices for internationalization.
The event brought together delegates from various PTKI International Offices, representatives from DIKTIS, and the UIII management team. Over the course of two days, participants engaged in interactive discussions and thematic sessions focused on key aspects of global engagement, including immigration issues, student mobility programs, partnership development, and the governance of international cooperation.

The first day Workshop was focused on Policy and Governance of International Affairs in PTKI delivered by DIKTIS, followed by a session on Strategies for Managing International Collaboration. The second day of the workshop featured thematic sessions such as Immigration Affairs, Best Practices in International Office Management, and a Partnering Program on Students Mobility across PTKI.
Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., expressed that the workshop provided a meaningful opportunity for PTKI to share experiences and strengthen collaboration mechanisms in realizing effective and sustainable internationalization.
Participation in this workshop also served as a valuable platform for the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar to enhance collaborative networks, exchange insights, and align strategic directions with other Islamic universities in Indonesia.
Through initiatives of this nature, the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar reaffirmed its commitment to advancing global engagement, institutional innovation, and sustainable academic partnerships, contributing to the realization of an inclusive and internationally recognized Islamic higher education system.
