Makassar — IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung visited the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar on Tuesday, October 22, 2025. This visit aimed to strengthen relations and conduct benchmarking regarding the management and development of the International Office at both institutions.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Halifah Mustamin, M.Pd., accompanied by the Head of the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed.
In her remarks, Dr. Serliah Nur, M.Hum., M.Ed., expressed her appreciation for the visit and emphasized the importance of sharing experiences and best practices in managing international collaborations and foreign student programs. She also expressed hope that this meeting could open broader opportunities for academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Representing IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung, Vice Rector III, Dr. Muh. Misdar, M.Ag., expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome received during the visit to the International Office of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar. He was accompanied by Nelly Sarawiyah, M.M., (Head of Academic Subdivision), Ratna Puspita Sari, S.Pd., (Academic Division Staff), and Aisyah, A.Ma.Pust., (Academic Division Staff).
The benchmarking discussion focused on various topics, including strategies to strengthen international partnerships, develop innovative approaches for internationalization programs at Islamic higher education institutions.
The visit concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the friendship and collaboration between Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar and IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung. Both parties expressed their hope that this benchmarking visit will be the beginning of closer cooperation in the future.
